There is nothing better in the morning than a warm, homemade breakfast. These Old Fashioned Homemade Pancakes are perfect for all ages and very easy to make.
Old Fashioned Homemade Pancakes
1 large egg
1 cup flour
3/4 cup milk (add more if needed)
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
In a medium bowl mix together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar). Set aside.
In another medium bowl whisk together egg, butter, vanilla extract and milk. When well mixed add in dry ingredients in two intervals mixing well after each addition.
Mix until you get a smooth desired consistency.
Preheat large skillet or a griddle to 350F to 400F. Lightly spray with cooking spray. Take measuring cup and measure about 1/4 cup of pancake batter and pour it onto the hot griddle.
When pancake start bubbling turn them over with a large spatula. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Enjoy with toppings of choice. Maple syrup is perfect on pancakes every time.
