Popular fairy tales and folktales from around the world are now storyboxes containing stylized characters and props.

The German fairy tale of Hansel & Gretel depicts a brother and sister’s escape from the Crunch Witch and her tempting house of sweets.

Now as a Steve Light Storybox, it includes painted resin pieces such as Hansel, Gretel, the Father, the Crunch Witch, and the Duck. Other props include the cauldron, the river, and the recipe book. Each story-box includes hand-painted, resin pieces and other unique props. Designed by award-winning teacher, author and illustrator, Steve Light. Ages 4+.

About the Author: Steve Light grew up in an enchanted place known as New Jersey. He went on to study Illustration at Pratt Institute, he also had the pleasure of studying and mentoring under Dave Passalacqua. Steve Light’s storytelling to small children inspired him to create storyboxes for some classic stories. These storyboxes consist of wooden figures that he has hand-carved and uses to dramatize the story. The storyboxes have led Steve to create a TV show pilot “Storytime with Steve Light”. Steve’s greatest joy is being able to share stories with children and introducing them to new worlds that they can only visit with their imaginations.

Steve Light Storyboxes are available at Guidecraft for $50.00.

Steve Light’s Storyboxes ae delightful and so easy for children to use to tell the story themselves–plus the youtube video shows Steve telling the story for them. This is truely a clever and fasinating way to get children to learn read and understand stories
